ANOKHIN Aleksandr (Ukrainian)

Aleksandr was born in Ukraine. He graduated from Kharkov State Academy of Design and Arts (former Kharkov Institute of Industrial Arts) He has been fruitful participation in regional art exhibitions. ARAKCHEYEV, Boris (1926-2013)

Boris Arakcheev was born in 1926. He finished the Minsk Art School in 1953, then he went on to study at the Belorussian Theatre Art Institute from where he graduated in 1959. Began exhibiting in 1959. Specialised in thematic paintings, still life and landscapes. Also he was well-known in Belarus as a graphic and an illustrator of various books and publications. Boris Arakcheev became a Member of the Union of Artists in 1960. Honoured Artist of Belorus in 1996. Taught in the Belarusian Art Academy 1971-1993. His paintings are part of private collections in USA and West Europe.

ARDIMASOV, Oleg (b.1936)

Oleg Ardimasov, a prominent Russian artist was born in 1936. He studied in the Irkutsk Art College until 1958 and then graduated from the Surikov Art Academy in Moscow in 1964. Ardimasov started exhibiting his works in 1965. Soon he became known in the art world of the former USSR. His teaching career started in 1970 in the Surikov Art Academy where he became Professor of Art. His paintings have been widely exhibited in Russia and in the West and make part of private collections in Germany, China, UK, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, France, Israel and USA. In London his art has been promoted by the leading galleries those of Roy Miles and Paul Hawkins. Oleg Ardimasov is a Member of the Union Of Artists of Russia. He was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of the USSR in 1981.

ARISTOV, Ivan (1917-2002)

Born in Astrakhan in 1919. Studied at Astrakhan Art School 1934-1938/39. Taught at intermediate school 1939-1952. Member of the Union of Artists.Specialises in genre scenes, portraits and still life. BARANENKO, Vitaly (Ukrainian, 1965)

Vitaly Baranenko was born in 1965 in the Poltava region, Ukraine. In 1991 he graduated from Kharkov Art College and then graduated from the Kharkov Art Institute. His skill was polished under the guidance of famous painters such as B. A. Kolesnik, A. M. Konstantinopolsky, A. V. Martynets and E. F. Zherdzitsky. Feodor Baranovski was born in Minsk in 1924. Graduated from the Minsk Art School in 1953. Finished the Belarusian Theatre Institute in 1959. Taught in the Belarusian Theatre Institute 1951-963. Taught in Belarusian Polytechnic Institute 1964-1984. Member of the Union of Artists since 1960 Specialises in genre scenes, portraits and landscapes. His paintings were acquired by the Belarusian National Art Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Fine Arts. Many of her works are in private collections in the Russia, Great Britain, Germany and USA.

BAYBABAYEV, Erkin

Born in 1953 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Erkin is Uzbek by nationality. He spent five years of his youth in Moscow where he entered the Faculty of Scenery Art at the All Union Cinematography Institute where he was taught to use different methods and techniques in painting. He was influenced by the cultures and mythologies of ancient Egypt and Greece. This influence is strongly reflected in his creativity. His search for new methods of conveying artistic ideas on his canvases has led him to develop an exceptionally expressive mixed media technique. He often uses gold leaf orglues sand to a canvas, adding different colours to it. The effect is that of a soft, deep velvet with a texture reminiscent of strongly sun tanned or black skin. He has exhibited his work at different level exhibitions and enjoyed success at the latest American Soviet Exhibition entitled 'Golden Brush' which was held at the Central Exhibiting Hall in Moscow. He is married and has one son.

BELYAEVA, Yevdokia (1916 - 2004)

Yevdokia Belyaeva was born in 1916. Studied in Art School in Leningrad 1935-1938. Then graduated from the Leningrad Art Institute in 1949. Began exhibiting in 1950. BELYAYEV Nikolai (1916 -2004)

Born in Tsaritseno in 1916. Graduated from the Moscow Art Institute name 1905 in 1939. Member of the Union of Artists since 1945. Began exhibiting in 1946. Became an Honoured Artist in 1978. Born in Munich, Germany in 1909. Studied at the Ekaterinburg (Sverdlovsk) Art School 1922-24. Began exhibiting in 1928. He is a Member of the AKHR/R since 1927. Important shows include 'Soviet Russia', Moscow 1960. Specialised in landscapes. Taught at the Urals College of Applied Art in Nizhni-Tagil 1947-56. Important shows included the All Union Exhibition in Moscow in 1962 and 1963. Specialised in genre paintings and landscapes. He was active in Ekaterinburg (Sverdlovsk). Member of the Union of the Artists. Honoured Artist of Russia. His paintings were widely exhibited and acquired by the museums of his native country and abroad. Many of his works are in private collections in the USA, Great Britain, France and Japan.

BOBRIKOV Ivan (born 1948)

Ivan Bobrikov was born in Bryansk, Russia in 1945.After studying at the local art school he was accepted by the N.Feshin Art College in Kazan, where he studied from 1965, graduating in 1970. He works in both oil and watercolours and specialises in landscapes and floral paintings. Ivan Bobrikov is a member of the Union of the Russian artist since 1985. His paintings were acquired by the Bryansk Centre Museum, Art Museum in Orel. Many of her works are in private collections in the Russia, Great Britain, Germany and USA.

BOGDANOV, Pavel (1912-1996)

BRZHOZOVSKY, Genrikh (1912-2008)

Brzhzozski was born in 1912. In 1933 he graduated from the Vitebsk Art School, and then studied in the studio of F. Modorov, before becoming a Member of the Union of Artists, as well as an Honoured Artist of Belarus. His works are exhibited in galleries and museums across many cities of his motherland, including the internationally known ‘State Gallery’ in Minsk. He has been a participant in twenty Republic Exhibitions and a substantial proportion of his paintings have also found their way to private collections in the across the globe.

Born in 1979 in Lugansk, Ukraine. Finished Sebastopol Art School. Then studied in Kiev Fine Art Academy. Participated in the National Exhibitions in Kiev in 2004 and 2005 and International Exhibitions in Great Britain (‘Spitz Gallery’ - London; ‘Chalk Gallery’ - Lewes) in 2005 and 2006. His paintings were acquired by the Museum of Kiev-Pechore Lavra in 2004 and by the Museum of Dal in Lugansk. Was awarded the First Prize in the Pushkin Art Contest-Exhibition in Lugansk. Member of the Ukraine Union of Artists. Anatoly Demenko is a listed artist. His name can be found in art reference books and sites. DEREBERYA, Ivan (1923-2014)

Born in 1923. In 1950 he finished the Rostov-Don Art School and has been a Member of the Union of Artists since 1968. He has exhibited many of his pencil and charcoal drawings in Russia and Europe. EREMENKO Vladimir (1922-1988)

Vladimir Eremenko was born in Village Gulkevichi, Kuban region in 1922. In 1939 he graduated from the Sevastopol Art Studio of the Crimean House of Folk Art named after Samokish. Began creative work in 1950. He worked in the portrait genre. From 1949-1953 was the chairman of the board of the Mosoblkhudozhnik, from 1961-1963 was deputy of the local council of people's deputies. Harazian Eduard was born in Tbilisi in 1939. In 1961 his family has moved to live to Yerevan, Armenia. Graduated from Yerevan State Art Theatre Institute in 1966. Taught in Yerevan art school in 1969. Member of the Union of the Artists since 1970. Honoured Artist of Armenia. Taught in Yerevan Pedagogical Institute, art department in 1977-1993. He was born in artist family in Аstrаkhаn on the 5th of Juny 1976. In 1991 he take on "Аstrаchаn trades Painter University" on "Designer and painter of advertisement", and 1995 he is are university graduate with red diploma. In 1996 he comes in Saint-Petersburg and take on "Academy of Artists named I.E.Rеpina" on painter faculty.Started 1998 in А.А. Мilnikov atelier workshop he take are lessons of monumental paintings. Compliteley defend diploma in 2002 year, on theme "Vstrechia narechennich (fiance and fiancee Meeting)",mosaic. LOMYKIN, Konstantin (Ukrainian,1924 - 1992)

Born in Glukhovo village near Sumy. Graduated from the Odessa Art College in 1951. Member of the Union of Artists since 1953. Awarded with three medals for his Artistic Merit, medal of Honour in 1964 and 1971.

LUGOVSKAYA - TEMPLINA , Nina (1918 - 1993)

Author of the famous "Diary of a Soviet Schoolgirl". Born in Moscow. Studied in the Serpukhov Art School in 1937 - 1939. She spent 10 years in prison and later was exiled to Magadan after her diary had been seized by NKVD and deemed anti-revolutionary. Following the confiscation of her diary on the 4th of January 1937, nineteen-year-old Nina Lugovskaya and her family were sentenced to five years in a labour camp in Kolyma. After serving her sentence, she was released in 1942 and served the next seven years in exile in other remote areas of Siberia. While working as a theatre artist in Magadan, she met and married the artist and fellow gulag survivor, Viktor Templin. Having survived her exile, Nina studied at Serpukhov Art School and in 1977 joined the Union of Artists of the USSR. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Nina's diary was discovered intact inside the NKVD's file on her family. Published in 2003, the diary earned her the sobriquet of ‘Anne Frank of the Soviet Union’. She was married to Viktor Templin, another dissident who she met in exile. 1957 - 1993 active in Vladimir. Member of the USSR Union of Artists since 1977. Her paintings were acquired by the museums of Vladimir, Kovrov and Alxandrov (Russia).

He is a well-known Russian realist whose works are held in many private collections as well as those in different Russian museums.

MARKOV, Leonid (1926-1988)

Born in Moscow in 1926. Graduated from the Moscow Art College in 1948. Took part in numerous national and international exhibitions. He is a Member of the Union of Artists. Specialised in landscapes.

MARSHENNIKOV, Serge

Serge Marshennikov was born in 1971 in Ufa (Bashkiriya, USSR). Serge was always drawing, painting and sculpting from any material he could land his hands on. His Mother encouraged Serge to study and from early childhood and he had a succession of private teachers and art studies he attended. After receiving a number of awards for his children’s watercolour and pastel paintings, Serge decided to become a professional painter. In 1995 he finished the Ufa Art College and then continued education at one of the most prestigious art academies in the world, The Repin Academy of Fine Art in St. Petersburg, Russia. As one of the most talented graduates of the academy, Serge was offered to stay for post-graduate studies at the studio of the Academician, Rector of the Academy, Professor Mylnikov. His work is in much demand and his prices are constantly rising. Serge’s paintings are held in Royal Academy of Arts in London, El Paso Museum of Art, in The Grace Museum (Abilene), and in many important private collections in Russia, England, Denmark, France and Japan.

MARTIROSOV, Arkadi

Arkadi Martirosov was born in 1927 in Rostov-Don. He studied at the Rostov-Don Art School 1945-1949. Then graduated from the Kiev Art Academy in 1957. He began exhibiting in 1965. Member of the Union of artists since 1960. Began exhibiting from 1948. Specialised in thematic paintings, portraits and landscapes. In 1967 he became a Merited Member of the Union of Artists. Important shows include "All Union Art Exhibition", Moscow 1970. He taught in the Art Studio name Grekov in Rostov Don 1957-1987. Many of his works are in private collections and at the Art Museum of Rostov-Don.

MARTIROSYAN, Ilyich (1926)

Ilyich Gegamovich Martirosyan was born in 1926. Graduated from Yerevan Art Academy in 1953. Member of the Union of Artists since 1970. Exhibited widely in Armenia. Specialised in thematic, landscape and still life paintings. His paintings are part of private collections in USA, Armenia, Japan and Great Britain.

MASYUKOV, Valeri

Born in 1947. Graduated from the Krasnodar Art College in 1969. Member of the Union of Artists since 1991. Began exhibiting in 1969. Specialised in thematic paintings and landscapes.His paintings are part of private collections in Russia, USA and West Europe.He is well-known in Russia as a graphic and an illustrator of various books and publications.

MATUSHEVSKI, Yuri (1930-1999)

Yuri Matushevski was born in 1930 in Kemerovo Region, Russian Federation. In 1949 he finished the Irkutsk Art School and then graduated from the Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) Institute of Applied Arts named after V.I.Mukhina. Since 1957 he has taken part in regional, republican and many other exhibitions, as well as various auctions in Great Britain, Japan, Italy, USA, Belgium, Sweden and many other countries. Matushevski has been a Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1960. He has travelled a lot around the country and visited the Urals, Siberia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Karelia and Komi Republic which found reflection in his paintings. His oils inspired by the beauty of nature are strikingly bright and colourful.

MAXIMOV, Gennadi

Born in 1936. Graduated from the Surikov Art Academy in Moscow in 1967. Member of the Union of Artists. Well-known in Russia as a graphic artist.

MIKHAILOV, Rufel

Born in 1936. Graduated from the Art School in Ivanovo in 1956. Member of the Union of Artists since 1958. Specialises in thematic painting and still life.

MIKHAYLOV Aleksei

Born in 1934. Graduated from Kharkov National Art Institute in 1964. Member of the Union of Ukrainian Artists since 1970. He began exhibiting in 1964. Specialises in landscape and still life paintings. Held one man shows in Kharkov Art Exhibition hall in 1999 and 2005. His works are held in Kharkov and Chuguevo Art Museums. Many of his paintings have found their way to private collections in Great Britain, Germany and France.

MIKHAYLOV Roman

Born in 1964. Graduated from Kharkov National Art Institute. Member of the Union of Ukrainian Artists. He began exhibiting in 1990. Specialises in landscape and still life paintings. NAKHALOV, Boris (1925-2008)

Boris Nakhalov was born in Gorodishi, Ukraine in 1925. He graduated from the Surikov Fine Art Academy in 1956. In 1960 he joined the USSR Union of Artists. He workes in different genres - thematic picture, portrait, still life and graphics.

NOGIN Roman (Ukrainian)

He was born in 1976, Ukraine. He graduated from Kharkov State Academy of Design and Arts (former Kharkov Institute of Industrial Arts) in 1999, chair of Mural Painting. He has been fruitfully participating in regional, All-Ukrainian and international art exhibitions. He is a lecturer in drawing at Kharkov State Academy of Design and Arts since 1999. NOVI, Iya (1910-1992)

Iya Novi was born in village Dvoriki, Tula region in 1910. She graduated from Art studio in Moscow in 1940. She was studied at Moscow Surikov Institute 1940-1948. Member of the Union of Artists since 1948. She began exhibiting in 1956. Specialises in genre and portrait paintings. Important shows include "All Union Art Exhibition", Moscow 1955, 1962-65. NOVIKOV Nikolai (1922-2013)

Nikolai Novikov was born in Vtorye Ostritsy, Moscow region in 1922. Studied at Surikov Art Institute 1942-1949. Began exhibiting from 1949. Member of the Union of artists in 1949. Important show include "All Union Art Exhibition" Moscow, 1950-1965. "Soviet Russia", Moscow, 1960-1980. Painted number of works depicting young military cadets late 1940-s. His works are held in Moscow, Leningrad, Tula, Gorky and Vladimir Art Museums. People's Artist. Member of the Russian Academy of Arts. ORLOV, Vasily (1910-2010)

Vasily Orlov was born in Graivoron. Finished his studies at the Kharkov Fine art High School in 1932. He was professor at the Studio of Taganrog Fine arts. At the beginning of Second war he fled the USSR for Germany to return in the late 1940's he became a Member of the union of Artists and exhibited many works in local and foreign Museums.In 1997, several works by Vasily Orlov (among them - a painting "In the native land") was presented and sold at «Christie's» auction. Its centenary Vasily Orlov noted solo exhibition at the Taganrog Museum of Art. His works are in the Taganrog Art Museum, private collections in Russia, USA, Canada, Italy, Germany, France. Spent nine solo exhibitions.

OTROSHENKO, Sergei (1910 - 1990)

Sergei Otroshenko was born in Omsk, Russia. Studied at the Omsk Art College 1925-1929, then graduated from Odessa Art Institute in 1935. In 1940 Sergei Otroshenko graduated from the Kiev Art Academy. Member of the Union of Artists since 1941. Specialises in genre, landscape and portraiture painting. Many of his paintings have found their way to private collections in the USA, Great Britain,Russia and Germany. Works are included in the Museum of Revolution, Moscow and Art Museum in Lugansk. He is also known for being a monumental and theatre artist.

OVCHINNIKOV, Nikolai (1918-2004)

Born in 1918. In 1951 graduated from the Repin Art Academy. Member of the Union of Artists in 1944. Peoples Artist of the USSR. Professor of Art. He was awarded the State Award of Chuvash Republic. Works are included in the museum of Cheboksary. Many of her paintings have found their way to private collections in the USA, Great Britain, Russia and France.

PATIKOVSKI Sergei (Ukrainian)

She was born in 1974, Lugansk, Ukraine. 1990 - 1994 - student of Lugansk Art College, specialization – “art design” In 1999, she graduated from Kharkov State Academy of Design and Arts, chair of Mural Painting. Since 2001, Natasha is a member of All-Ukrainian Union of Artists, and she is a member of artistic society “Insight”. More than 400 works are kept in private collections in USA, Netherlands, Germany. She works, mainly, in the field of mural painting. Reality is transforming in her creative work, where fusion of colours and textures give birth to artist’s own world of images. Born in 1977 in Dubno. In 1991 he finished with excellence Fine Art School in his home town. Then studied in the National Fine Art Academy in Kiev.

PETROVSKY, Vitaly (Ukrainian)

Born in 1975 in Vinnitsa, Ukraine. Graduated from Industrial Art School in 1996. Member of the Ukrainian Association of Young Artists. Works in the genre of realism. Specialises in town and cityscapes. Since 1993 exhibits his paintings in Annual Republican Exhibitions. He is very popular in his native country and gains more and more popularity in the West.

Born 1946 in Semipalatinsk (Russia). Studied at Simferopol (Crimea) Art School 1964-68, Leningrad Art Academy 1974-79. POPOVA, Zoya (1915-2012)

SEGAL Eugene (Ukrainian)

Creative formation of Eugene Segal as an artist was in a special atmosphere of Kharkiv state Academy of arts. He graduated from it with his own creation manner. His paintings "Still Life with Mirror", "Portrait of a Woman", "Motion down the Heart Line" open to us early positions of his art. In these paintings he performs independence in choosing motive and interpretation of a topic. The colour in these works becomes main point, appears hot-yellow colouring and relief structure. Pastose painting, vibrating contours of the things — these distinctive peculiarities will appear in the later works. In 1997 the first exhibition of the artist in DAIS Gallery took place. Eugene Segal showed paintings from "Stones" series. There was shown individual decision of composition and colouring tasks — in abstract manner, it was full of personalities and experience. In theses series the artist shows the storm of emotions, tension, which comes from the inner power.A special place in the art of the artist is lyrical landscape. It is traditionally accepted by the landscape paintings shows the wide palette of author's experience and feelings. For example, «Kharkiv in Winter» - is novel silent, stone Kharkiv. Eugene catches the condition of the nature, in every motive he finds poetry and harmony of the man in the world. He dreams of the life to be harmonious as a music.

Born in 1927. Graduated from the Yaroslavl Art School in 1950. Member of the Union of Artists since 1965. Began exhibiting in 1953. Specialised in thematic paintings and portraits.

SHANIN, Marat (1928-2012)

Marat Shanin (born 1928) studied at the Penza Art College between 1943 - 1948, then at the Kharkov Art Institute 1948 - 1954. Taught at the Penza Art College. Member of the Union of Artists. Honoured Artist of Moldovia. Widely exhibited in Russia. Paintings in local museums and private collections in Russia and abroad.

SHAPOVALOV, Anatoly (Ukrainian)

Anatoly Shapavalov was born in 1949. He finished Art School in 1966 and then graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Art and Architecture in 1970. Having trained in the studio of Viktor Puzyrkov he became a member of the Ukrainian National Union of Artists and has since taken part in numerous republican, national and international art shows. He specialises in genre, landscape and still-life paintings. However, ballet scenes are his main area of interest. Many of his paintings are held in private collections in the USA and Europe.

Dmitry Shevchenko was born in 1978 in Kharkov. Graduated from Kharkov Art College, then graduated from the Kharkov Art Academy in 2003. Teaching at Kharkov Art Academy from 2004. Member of the Union of the Ukrainian Artists since 2008. Specialised in genre, portrait and landscapes. Also well known as a graphic painter. SHEVCHUK, Alexandr (Ukrainian)

Alexander Shevchuk was born in Ukraine. He graduated from Kiev Fine Art Academy. Began exhibiting in 1995. He specialises in genre pictures and portraits, especially nudes where his ability to express skin tones is exceptional. His paintings are held in private collections in East and West Europe

SHIROKOVA, Inna (1937-2019)

Born in 1937 in Kirov (recently renamed Vyatka) into the family of artists. In 1961 graduated from the Art School in Gorky. The same she was employed by the Kirov Art Workshop where she has worked till now. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1968.

SHISHKIN Valeri

Born in 1961 in the Lower Kama. He graduated from the Ural College of Applied Arts and Russian State Pedagogical University. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1997. Worked for many years at the Art Fund of the Union of Artists of the USSR, has actively participated in various exhibitions in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan and other Russian cities as well as abroad. The artworks are in private collections in Russia, USA, Germany, UK, Japan and other countries.

SHPONKO, Grigoryi (Ukrainian,1926-2005)

Grigori Andreevich Shponko was born in 1926 in Balki, Zaporozhye region, Ukraine. During World War II Shponko lost two older brothers at the front. He worked on the reconstruction of Kiev that had been destroyed in the war. Shponko studied in the master class of famous professor Trokhimenko in the painting department of the Kiev Art Institute until his graduation in 1954. He became a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine that same year under academician Tatyana Yablonskaya’s recommendations. He participated in the restoration of the legendary Sevastopol panorama by Rubo, and he was working as a painter-decorator in the Kiev Opera and Ballet Theatre. He participated in many Ukrainian and All-Union Art Exhibitions in Ukraine and Moscow. His works are included in the collections of several museums. Shponko died in December 2006.

SHVAB, Vladimir (Ukrainian)

Born in 1970 near Ovruch, Ukraine. In 1971 his family moved to live to Crimea. Where Vladimir finished from Simferopol Art School named after N.S.Samakish. After that he graduated from Kiev National Fine Art Academy in 2008. Participant of national and international exhibitions.He specialises in genre, portrait, landscape and still life paintings. Many of his paintings are held in private collections in the USA and Europe.

SHVEDOV, Ivan (1917-1996)

Ivan Shvedov was born in Krasnodar, Russia in 1917. Graduated from Rostov-Don Art School in 1937. Member of the Union of Artists since 1949. SINYOV, Yevgeni

Evgeni Sinyov was born in Moscow in 1952. Studied at The Surikov Higher Art School there from 1969-1974. Member of the union of the artists. Began exhibiting from 1978. He is a master of landscape and still life. His paintings are very bright and have about them a delicate of light. He is a very lyrical painter, his works always having the touch of almost pantheistic naturalism. SKURIDIN, Valeri (1917-1983)

Valeri Skuridin graduated from the Art School in Moscow in 1938, then graduated from the Repin Art Academy in Leningrad in 1949. He became a member of the Union of Artists in 1950. Professor of Art. SMIRNOV, Yuri (Ukrainian,1925-1998)

SOBAKIN, Ivan (1928-1996)

Ivan Sobakin was born in Nadeino Moscow region in 1928. Graduated from the Art School in Moscow in 1956. Member of the Union of Artists since 1967. Important shows include "Soviet Russia" Moscow 1960,1963,1967. His paintings were acquired by the Kolomna Centre Museum, Art Museum in Yaroslavl and Historical museum in Podolsk . SOKOLOV-SKALYA, Pavel (1899-1961)

Born in Strelno, St. Petersburg pr., 1899. Studied with V.V.Konovalov, Saratov, 1909-14; at Maskov's studio-school, Moscow, 1914(15?)-1918; Began exhibiting 1921. Taught from 1922. Well-known works include 'The Taman March' (1928; Tretyakov Gallery); 'The Road from Gorki' (1929; Historical Museum, Moscow); He became a Soviet academician in 1949. Awarded Stalin Prizes 1942, 1949. Also a graphic artist. He died in Moscow 1961.

SPORYKHIN Boris (1928 - 2020)

Boris Sporykhin was born in Rostov don in 1928. Studied at Art Studio in Rostov Don 1939-1941. Graduated from Rostov Don Art College in 1950. Then graduated from Surikov Art Institute in Moscow in 1956. Member of the Union of the artists since 1956. Important shows include ‘Soviet Russia’, Moscow in1960. Solo exhibitions in Rostov Don 1968,1978,1989. Specialised in thematic paintings, portrait, landscapes and still life. He became an Honoured Artist in 1997 and then People's artist in 2006. STANICHNOV Oleg (Ukrainian)

Oleg Stanichnov was born in Dnepropetrovsk in 1987 in Ukraine. Graduated from Art School in 2003 and then graduated from Art College in Dnepropetrovsk in 2008. In 2014 he graduated from Kharkov Art Academy where he studied under professor of art V.Ganotski and V.Chaus with Honours. He began to participate in exhibitions since 2009. He is a member of the Ukraine Union of the artist since 2014. Specialised in genre, landscapes and still life paintings. His works are in private collections in Germany, England, Canada and USA.

STRAKHOV, Andrei (1925-1994)

Studied at Kazan Art College until 1942 and then at Moscow Institute of Applied and Decorative Art after World War II.

STUPINA, Nadezhda

Born 1967, graduated from the Moscow Textile Academy, the Faculty of Fine Art and Interior Design 1993. Co-operated with US art studios in creating collections of fabric patterns and worked for a number of years as an interior designer. Since 2005 she has devoted herself fully to painting and is already establishing a formidable reputation. SULOEV Nikolai (1923-2008)

Born in 1923. He finished Repin Art Institute. Nikolai became a Member of the Union of Artists and an Honoured Artist of Russia. Specialises in genre scenes, portraits and still life. His paintings were acquired by the Yaroslavl Centre Museum, Art Museum in Kostroma and Historical museum in Rybinsk . Many of her works are in private collections in the Russia, Great Britain, Germany and USA.

TARASOVA Yevgeniya

Yevgeniya was born in Samara , Russia in 1975. She graduated from Pedagogical University in Samara, painting department, in 1999. Began exhibiting from 1993. Since 2008 Yevgeniya working with Art-7 art gallery in London. More recently her paintings have been sold through important art auctions, including famous Christie’s South Kensington in London. TEMPLIN, Viktor (1920-1994)

Viktor Templin was a member of the Vladimir School of Artists. The influences of colour and subject matter again are strong and evident in many of his paintings. Although Templins work is rather more Abstract his beautiful selections of colour and vibrancy is clearly visible to the viewer. Templins simple application of paint creates such a strong final picture that it gives you the feeling that nature and his love of landscapes are of much importance to him. The vibrant colours in his paintings reflect the artist’s warm and prosperous optimism bursting out on to his canvas surfaces. Templin was born in Tula, Russia. Graduated from the Gorki Art School in 1937. He was imprisoned during the Stalin era and was sent to the Magadan Labour Camp for his “modern” tendencies in his art. He spent four years in exile. His work is represented in permanent collections in the National Galleries of Vladimir, Suzdal, Kovrovo and Alexandrov towns. His paintings are also in private collections in Spain, France, Great Britain, Japan, China and USA.

TITOV, Konstantin (1913-1997)

Born in 1913. He graduated from the Astrakhan Art College in 1937, then the Repin Art Academy in St. Petersburg in 1947. Member of the Union of Artists since 1946. Merrited Member of the Union of Artists since 1993. He held professorship in the Kiev Art Academy. He is an important Russian Realist whose works are in many museums of Russia and private collections in the USA, Japan, Great Britain, Canada, France, Germany and Holland.

TSVETKOV, Viktor (1920-2009)

Viktor Tsvetkov was born in Leningrad, in 1920. He finished Leningrad Art School in 1937 and then graduated from the Repin Art Academy in 1952. A Passionate realist, he has spent long hours drawing from life scenes and travelling about his vast native land with his palette and brush. In 1953, he became Member of the Union of Artists, establishing himself as a portraitist and artist of figurative painting. Art, as well as poetry have become his life-long inspiration. His versatile talent was recognised in Russia early before the "perestroika" opened doors to the western world of connoisseurs of art. His works are exhibited in galleries and museums in different cities in his motherland, including the internationally known Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow). Many of his paintings have found their way to private collections in the USA, Great Britain, Japan, Germany and Canada.

VARLAMOV, Alexei (1920-2000)

Born in 1920. Studied at the Gorki Art College 1935-40. Began exhibiting in 1940. Important shows include the All-Union Art Exhibition in Moscow 1949. Specialised in paintings of children, elderly people and animals. He has taught at the Gorki Art College 1945-47. Member of the Union of Artists.

VARTANYAN, Gervasia (1927)

Vartanyan Gervasia is outstanding Armenian artist. He was born in 1927 in Karaklis (Now Vanadzor) Armenia. Graduated from Art School in Yerevan with a gold medal in 1950, then Art Academy in Yerevan in 1956. Member of the Union of Artists since 1957. He became an Honoured Artist in 2000. VASETSKI Grigori (Ukrainian,1928)

Grigori was born in 1924 in Poltava Region, Ukraine. In 1955 he graduated from Kiev Art Institute. After that in 1960 he became a member of the National Union of Ukrainian Artists. Honoured Artist of the Ukraine in 1979. Member of Ukrainian Academy of art since 2006.His paintings are part of National Art Museum in Kiev and private art collections. Georgi Vasilyev studied at the Surikov Art Institute in Moscow 1947 - 1951. Began exhibiting in 1955. Member of the Union of Artists.

VINTENKO, Boris (Ukrainian,1927-2002)

Vintenko Boris was born in 1927 in Kirovograd Region, Ukraine. In 1942 he graduated from Odessa Art College. In 1973 he became a member of the National Union of Ukrainian Artists. Honoured Artist of the Ukraine in 1993. His paintings are part of National Art Museum in Kirovograd. He specialises in genre, portrait and landscape paintings. VORONKOV, Alexandre

Alexandre was born in Barnaul in 1961 and graduated from Ryazan Art School. He then worked as a scenery artist in a theatre. In 1984 he entered the Surikov Higher Art School of Moscow. He then worked in the studio-school of Tair Salakhov, Moscow. ZHAROV, Mikhail (Ukrainian)

Born in 1974 in Sebastopol in the family of a sailor. He finished Sebastopol Art School. Then graduated from Crimea Art School named after N.S.Samakish and later studied in Kiev National Fine Art Academy in the studio of V.I.Gurin. Participant of national and international exhibitions.

ZUSMAN, Leonid (1906 - 1983)

He studied at the studio of Petrov-Vodkin. He wal also a student of David Shterenberg and was an active member of the OST art group (1925-31). He was a Member of the Union of Artists since 1940 and his paintings are exhibited in many Russian and European museums.
