MANGASARYAN, Sarkis (1918-1991)

Sarkis Mangasaryan graduated from Art School in Krasnodar in 1939. Then graduated from Yerevan Art Academy in 1948. Member of the Union of Artists since 1952. Important shows include the 'All Union Art Exhibition' in Moscow in 1974, 1985. He became an Honoured Artist in 1990-s. Specialises in landscapes, genre scenes, portraits and still life. Exhibited widely in Armenia and Russia. His painting won a major award at the 'Armenia Art' exhibition in 1998. His paintings are part of private collections in USA, Armenia, Russia, Great Britain and China.
