GUSLISTYI, Yakov (1914-1972)
Yakov Guslistyi was born in 1914 in Rostov-Don. He studied at the Rostov-Don Art School 1932-1937. Then graduated from the Leningrad Art Academy in 1939. Began exhibiting from 1947. Member of the Union of artists since 1950-s. Specialised in thematic paintings, portraits and landscapes. Important shows include “All Union Art Exhibition”, Moscow 1969. He taught in the Art Studio name Grekov in Rostov Don 1967-1969. Many of his works are in private collections and at the Art Museum of Rostov-Don and Novocherkassk. His paintings are part of private collections in USA, Holland, Russia, Great Britain and Germany.
