NOVI, Iya (1910-1992)
Iya Novi was born in village Dvoriki, Tula region in 1910. She graduated from Art studio in Moscow in 1940. She was studied at Moscow Surikov Institute 1940-1948. Member of the Union of Artists since 1948. She began exhibiting in 1956. Specialises in genre and portrait paintings. Important shows include "All Union Art Exhibition", Moscow 1955, 1962-65. Her works are held in Tula and Serpukhov Art Museums. Many of her paintings have found their way to private collections in the USA, Great Britain, Russia and France.
