CHERVONENKO, Alexander (1912 - 1994)
He was born in the village Petropavlovka, Astrakhan region, in 1912. He graduated from the Stalingrad Art School in 1938 and then graduated from the Kharkov Art Academy in 1945. Member of the Union of Artists from 1949. Began exhibiting in 1947. Specialised in thematic paintings and portraits. His works are held in Volgograd (Stalingrad) Art Museum. His paintings can be found in private collections of United Kingdom, Russia and Japan.
